Our friend and fellow author Heather McCollum is fighting Ovarian Cancer with strength and grace.
To show appreciation for folks who donate to support Heather's Warriors
on the upcoming walk to promote awareness of ovarian cancer and fund a cure, her writer friends have organized a critique raffle.
You could win one of five critiques being offered by

Type RAFFLE in the e-mail's subject line.
In the body of the email, please include your Recognition name, the number of virtual tickets purchased (dollar amount of donation), and which author(s)/critique prize(s) you would like to be entered for.

The fine print: No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the critique raffle. However, we are volunteering these critiques as a way to support Heather! So keep that in mind, okay? Participating authors have deadlines. So the winners and the authors will have to work out a timetable for critiques around those deadlines. Deal with it. For the purposes of this raffle, the critiques provided have no monetary value. Winners will be chosen by Virginia Kantra on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Virginia will make every possible attempt to contact the winners by whatever means provided (if in doubt, email her!). If a winner fails to respond to the winner's notification by October 1, 2011, Virginia may award the critique to someone else. (NOTE: This does not mean that the critique winner needs to turn in a chapter by that date. She just needs to acknowledge the notification.) All decisions by Virginia Kantra are final. By entering this raffle, the entrant agrees to all of the above and to hold blameless the participating authors, HCRW, the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Awareness Walk and Duke University Medical Center, all of which wonderful organizations have nothing to do with the administration of this raffle or the participating authors' attempts to encourage their friend Heather and promote awareness of Ovarian Cancer.
